How to Install Rear Air Suspension Spring Set for Mercedes-Benz ASK-018
Air suspension springs (air bags) use compressed air instead of traditional coil springs to provide a smooth, adjustable ride height. When these fail, the vehicle may sag on one or more corners, the compressor may run constantly, or you may hear hissing from a leak.
What's Included (1 pieces)

- Always disable air suspension before working on components
- Air springs may be under pressure - wear eye protection
- Do not disconnect air lines while system is pressurized
- Keep hands clear of suspension components when enabling system
Installation Steps
Disable Air Suspension
Turn off the air suspension system (usually a switch in the trunk or cargo area). Allow system to depressurize.
Raise & Support
Raise the vehicle and secure on jack stands. Remove the wheel for access.
Disconnect Air Line
Using the air line disconnect tool, carefully disconnect the air line from the spring. Some air may escape - this is normal.
Remove Old Spring
Remove the upper and lower mounting hardware. Lower the spring out of the vehicle.
Install New Spring
Position new spring, connect upper mount first, then lower. Reconnect air line (listen for click).
Test System
Re-enable air suspension. Start vehicle and allow system to pressurize. Check for leaks and proper ride height.
